Make no mistake about it – it is not only the Opposition that is under fire but also other institutions such as the judiciary and the church (as evidenced by earlier events).

It is just a matter of time until the Labour hordes remember or are actively reminded, of the omnipotence they had in the days of the “suldati ta’ l-azzar” when the army and the police were staffed by government puppets and when these same hordes (or their fathers before them, could freely ransack the courts, the press, the curia and the homes of opposition members without anyone lifting a finger.

Clear as mud. So prior to the bill a gay person could apply to adopt as a single parent. Now what’s changed?

That same gay person can still apply to adopt as a single person. If that person happens to have entered into a civil union then they could apply as a couple but nothing changed in the scenario mentioned.
