Actually, the delegation admitted that recently there have been increasing avenues for travel and trade between Taiwan and China (though the 'one China' policy is obviously here to stay for now). It just seems the Maltese government is being more Sino-nationalist than the Chinese themselves in this case.

In reply to H.P. Baxxter. All EU states, and the United States too (of all nations) find themselves in the ridiculous position of doing business with Taiwan without official diplomatic recognition. That includes selling them sophisticated weapons systems. It's about time everyone acknowledged reality.
