And in the mean time in the health sphere, the director of nursing at Mater Dei Hospital, who was hand picked without a call for applications and who made a leap of some 4 promotions to get the post, is to be replaced by someone else who was hand picked without a call for applications. Will it be another instance of grade hopping?

In reply to Be-witched. Under Labour since Mintoff, Commissioners of Police do not last long. We all remember Alfred Bencini, Edward Bencini, Enoch Tonna, John Cachia, Lawrence Pullicino. None enhanced his reputation by the end of his term.
