MIchelle Obama once said “Success isn’t about how much money you make but the difference you make in people’s lives”. Well Mr. John Dalli you are certainly making a difference to the reputation of the Maltese society. I wonder if you intend to be stuffed with 500 euro bills instead of cotton wool when your time is up.

[Daphne – Well, I’m afraid that’s not British English but Globish, and more pertinently, it was done as a pragmatic solution to the problems of forming the plural for euro in the various languages of the European Union which don’t simply take an ‘s’ like English. Hence, the Maltese ‘ewro’, singular and plural, rather than ‘ewrijiet’. But when you speak and write, it’s ‘euros’, pronounced you-rows as in row the boat not have a row with your neighbour.]

1) Who informed the man from Philip Morris that he was holidaying in a Gozo hotel?

2) Who accompanied him to the hotel?
