The Health Ministry is avoiding answering questions on concerns raised last week by chemical expert Alfred Vella about food contamination resulting from fireworks.
For a week, Times of Malta has been chasing the Health Ministry to address concerns raised by Prof. Vella.

‘World record of contamination’
“We probably have a world record of perchlorate contamination in this country, judging from what is published in scientific literature. Perchlorate is present in dust fall as it deposits during June and remains in dust fall that comes down during all subsequent months in decreasing amounts at least until February. It picks up again as the summer months approach and the cycle is repeated, year on year,” Prof. Vella said.

Worse still, resource-hungry China is using those trillions in reserves to “invest” in resources infrastructure in the third world to deprive the third world from its resources (oil, gas, minerals) and from fair compensation for those resources. This way, not only rural Chinese, but also millions of people in Africa will continue to live in poverty.
