http://www.maltatoday.com.mt/news/national/41959/maltese_man_accuses_government_of_abandoning_oil_workers_in_libya_#.U-C_veOSzCo

The video one to watch. Saviour Brincat confirms rumours another Maltese may have been abducted.

What's significant is how different government spokesmen, this time an Olaph Terribile, have to thread carefully around the word evacuation.

If Britain and France did, can't have Labour follow implying we're no longer blood brothers can we? Yana wouldn't like that.

It does seem to me the Maltese have become targets, Brincat adamant about not divulging some of the details he sent to foreign affairs, but did say perhaps the recipients of his emails may have felt offended.

One wonders what these people get to hear from their Libyan colleagues.

What's certain is it's no coincidence the Maltese are feeling cornered down there, the moment Mallia and co. signed an MOU which details remain hazy and Xemxija revealed an impromptu refuge for ousted Libyan top brass.

Ivan Fenech's absolutely right when he questions how and which militia we consider friendly.

Whose orders is Muscat following?

Great article. Re the female interviewees, when I worked in Malta, the section I worked in (public sector) was recruiting. My repulsive, hamalla, rabidly Labour boss, who only got her high-ranking job because she was, in fact, Labour, and should by rights have been a fish-wife, given her vulgar language and general behaviour, refused to take on women in their 20s, "because they might get pregnant". I was amazed that someone could think they were allowed to say that out loud and I remember thinking, "This is what it will be like, when they get into power". I realised, obviously, that that was the reality of the world, but the arrogance of saying it out loud, and the complete lack of awareness of what's proper (and in fact, legal), impressed me. A particularly Labour quality, apparently.
