1. Years ago I lived around the corner from Testaferrata Street in Gzira (which, by the way, no council still wants to take responsibility for). My two daughters (probably 9 or 10 at the time) would get off the school bus and make their way the short distance home. On one isolated occasion some perverted bastard slowed down and tried to pick them up only to be thwarted by a local, very long term hooker, who told him, in no uncertain terms, to sling his hook.

2. It was never unusual, especially in Summer, to sit on my balcony and see the usual bangers and the flash cars slowing down, park, and, with about as much finesse as a bull in a china shop, discreetly enter a block which, if you were lucky, you would either empty your nether regions or come out minus a nicked empty wallet. God I wish I had a mobile camera phone then.

3. The latest survey in the Times of Malta suggests that 72 percent of recipients (punters) say that it should be regularised, Yeah, right. But not in my front door dude. Amsterdam is massive. Berlin is massive. Malta is, well, err, ridiculously small.

On the public broadcaster I have no opinion whatsoever for the simple reason that I do not have the faintest idea what it is all about.

I can only just about surmise.

TVM has to get its income – or, at least, the major part of it – from advertisements. Not many of these manage to impress all of us. Most do not – so we do not purchase the darned things. Period.
