There’s nothing wrong with the man in this photo and his beloved canaries, these birds are not meant to be in the wild, they are domestically bred,
Calling him names and trying to make him look small is not becoming and because you do not understand his hobby is no cause to belittle him.
From the photo I can tell he takes very good care of the birds.
It’s a lovely hobby, I’ve bred canaries for many many years and can tell you this, they would not last long in the wild.
If avian pox didn’t kill them they would either starve to death or be killed by wild birds.
Breeding canaries is a nice hobby to have, you have to be dedicated because they take hours of work but they give so much pleasure.
During the summer months my glosters are flighted in a screen in 10 foot flight, I could spend half my day watching and listening to them, better then going to the mall or texting.
So people keep and open mind, like I wrote before it’s a lovely hobby, it brings people from all over the world together and at a time like this it’s a good thing.

All right now you have taken the subject to a new level…

Let the dogs free. No more dogs as pets, no more dog shows, close all the grooming services, no more kennels, because they come from the wolf line and they should be in the forest!!!

Let the horses free. No more horse racing, no more show jumping, no more horse breeding, no more Karrozzini, they should be out in the wild to run free and use their speed at free will.

Let the cats free. Their instincts are very hard to understand, they are weird (not true) cause they should be hunting in the wild not locked up in an apartment.

Let the Fish free. Close the project in Bugibba “National Aquarium” stop all fish shops and ban all domestic aquariums. They should be swimming in rivers, seas and lakes.

You know I could go on and on and on!!! I think you really need to cut a wee bit on the keyboard and buy a pet. There is an energy in animals that we can see but you can’t and we love sharing it. For me bird keeping is the best therapy and relaxation I can get and for my birds its the best environment that Glosters Canaries have experienced since there first day in 1925 (Crystal Palace).

Now I really have to go because its 4:33am and in an hours time I will start my bird room maintenance which takes 2.5 hours a day.

PS. I have a very good relationship with my wife and kids and 2 days ago we celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary. Dear Daphne, I gave it a bit of thought before I started writing this message, because it shows very clearly that you know nothing about this beautiful hobby and how serious many of the EU countries that you shout about take this pass time.

I decide to write this message to ask you to at least before you start firing stupid comments, do a bit of research!!! It seems that every chance you get to mud sling, you do not care how you do it or who it will hurt!!

Not that you are hurting us!!! Because everybody knows that you are more of a lunatic than anyone else you have attacked in the past. Please look it up before opening that trap!! They are called Gloster Canaries!! They don’t live in the wild!!! The have existed for a 100 years and you know nothing about them!!!

If you would like to come to my bird room you are still welcome!!! I will give you a lecture and a tour that will show how beautiful our hobby is and how relaxing it is to listen to their song while they raise their young!

It makes me wonder how men like you and Franco Debono would keep women if there were no laws to prevent you doing it. The need to line birds up in tiny cages is, at root, the need for control and for something to control. It is actually pretty frightening that you are completely indifferent to the fact that these are living things. Whether they are raised in captivity or not is totally irrelevant. They still need space to fly. Try and think about the fact that this so-called hobby is favoured only by men – or rather, certain sorts of men.]
