Up until 1987 houses were frequently requisitioned by the MLP government to be handed over to their supporters to be used as their domicile.

So much for public purpose.

A government is there to improve the legal system.

There was ample time for the PN to do so.

Like I said I’d hate to be voting for the lesser evil once again.

The government of the day is there to enact laws to protect the public so please no excuses.

We all know nothing was done about it like nothing was seriously done about the compensation for ex-National Bank of Malta shareholders.

Stop finding excuses for the failed PN government.

There are many cases in Court that are ongoing. Unfortunately our legal system is what it is.

It’s private property. It was the owners that needed to go to court and not the government of that day.

I am still trying to figure out how — whether physically or legally or otherwise — one can “evict” a house, rather than “vacate” it.

If it was expropriated by the government it has to be for public purposes. The Labour Party club isn’t a public purpose.
