At seeing your country being vilified internationally because of a government that is not fit for purpose.

Laugh because your fellow Maltese have decided to entrust the running of your homeland to a bunch of criminal, corrupt clowns.

This is a no-no. This shows he had not fathomed the gravity of the matter and was intent on giving his driver the support he needed.

The PM did not help much by telling us the following day how ‘angered and disgusted’ the minister was. On the contrary, this only served to shine a brighter light on what the minister had actually said a day earlier.

This nation still believes that the police are here to serve and protect.

Let us not create a mini police state where armed demi-gods rule the streets with the consent and protection of our elected representatives. This is how it starts – a minister defending an empowered thug with ego issues. And to think that it would have been brushed aside had everyone remained silent!

It is worth keeping in mind that Malta already has a high police-to-citizen ratio.
