You are 100% correct, Daphne, and what you described is the reason why the PN media is seen to be ineffective and is frustrating everyone.

Spot on. I feel that the PN are always afraid to say things outright.

This blog is what the PN media should be doing.

To know what is happening in the political sphere (and not just) I have to read this blog otherwise I am living on Pluto.

Do these people think they can hood-wink us non-stop?

i) It never worked on some of us;
ii) Its really becoming annoying;
iii) You sound like complete and utter idiots;
iv) Everything about your mandate, your campaign and your passé roadmap is phony;
v) The sooner you go the better;
vi) The day will come when you will all be held publicly accountable.

Perhaps what is missing is a stronger, more focused manner of dealing with a story once it is out in the open.

The PN is good at coming up with a good story but does not have the tenacity that One had in keeping that story alive.

[Daphne – Your analysis is incorrect because it starts off from the assumption that a political party’s newsroom is divorced from the party and is an independent journalistic operation. It is not. A political party newsroom exists for the sole purpose of furthering the agenda of the political party. It has no other raison d’etre to speak of. The Labour Party in Opposition was acutely aware of this and its broadcaster WAS the party. With the PN, what we have is a situation in which its newsroom is picking up good stories but using them as an independent media organisation would – from an almost purely journalistic perspective. Meanwhile, the party gazes on in fond approval and gets on with its own separate and distinct agenda. This is wrong. The PN newsroom should be picking up the stories the party is prepared to run with. The stories it breaks should be carried and driven forward by the rest of the party machine and its politicians. Otherwise, there is no point. The political party media exist for political reasons, not for reasons of journalism.]
