Here is another (un)equal opportunity. Times of Malta issues the President’s reaction to the issue of her £500,000 increase in tax payer’s money she will use, according to her to collect more funds for charity. And because we are such a democracy, no comments are allowed to be made on the newsaper site regarding the article.

Unfortunately no journalist asked why the President’s statement says, for example, that ”Attempts to reduce contributions to the MCCF risk a collapse in essential medical treatment …” When we are told that essential medical treatment in Malta is free and available to everyone.

Why is there a need for the President to create a mini-social services department with its own set of rules and agenda? The set up seems to have been born with good intentions but is it now turning into a monster?

The prospective buyer says he is doing the construction work. Helena Dalli’s husband says he has nothing to do with the construction work going on. Mepa says no construction has been going on at all.
