Correct and that scheme was a farce. It closed 31st October.

It was a sneak tactic to recover the funds. The flyer was also misleading. I understood it that by the 31st October you need to apply and ‘decide’ when to pay the balance – 1, 2 or 3 months. So to be eligible for the 75%, you need to pay within a month.

When I went to pay my bill, I was asked to pay everything now, otherwise I won’t be eligible for the 75%. I told her that the application form says to pay next month. She said NO NOW. Thanks!

Enclosed with every water and electricity bills, ARMS Ltd are sending two flyers encouraging those with overdue balances to benefit from an interest reduction scheme of up to 75%. These are being sent to all and sundry.

In this day and age, they could have targeted only those with overdue balances.

Is this the efficiency that was promised before the election?

Don’t we have a Minister for the Reduction of Red Tape, or am I wrong about that? The only one to benefit from this wastage is the paper supplier, whoever that may be. I trust it is not the prime minister’s chief of staff.
