My understanding is that the British High Commissioner is now involved in Smith’s case and I don’t think Mallia or his cowboys will cause him any harm.

More likely he was ‘interviewed’, charged with whatever applies and released.

But yes, journalists should investigate and verify that Mr Smith is now safe.

Good thing he was shooting in the air. Otherwise he might have shot his own foot.

Precisely why it’s so important for journalists to go looking for him.

I hope we do not end up with an ISIL / North Korean style statement by Mr Smith issued via the Police apologizing to the Minister’s driver and to the Minister himself for terrorizing them both and accepting blame for having been shot at three times.

You can’t tell what surprises the Government may be hatching for us all during Mr Smith’s arrest.

WHO exactly has been distorting what happened minister Mallia? I have not heard a peep from Mr. Smith yet and apparently he has been under arrest for the whole time so I would not think that HE spoke to the press.
