@Il-Ginger – Razzu was a small, simple and harmless man who had a severe drink problem, and whom various individuals thus thought funny to ply with alcohol at Saddles, Tony’s Bar, etc in Spinola purely for their own warped entertainment in the 1980s and possibly up to the mid-1990s.

Were Razzu still alive, I believe he’d probably be in his 60s by now.

A character who had impressed me – as M.Borg said, he was manipulated like a fiddle, anything for a drop. It was sad to see.

Ir-Razzu was a common sight in St. Julian’s.

Although he was blown out of his mind most of the time he was quite harmless even when drunk which was practically all the time he was awake.

In his final years his eyes became more and more vacant while his face became more and more battered.

It used to be said that he inflicted the damage on himself when drunk but I have my doubts.
