Just for the record, I was one of the first who wrote that Minister Mallia was too rushed in issuing a statement when I would have waited for the result of the inquiry no matter how long it takes.

Don’t forget that Joseph Cuschieri and Martin Debono were not candidates this time round and I know for a fact that Manwel obtained many of their votes.

Having said that I am sure that there were a number of switchers among his voters but I doubt it was anywhere near the bulk.
