Some time ago from high up near university I used to look out and see a good part of Msida, the hospital and up to Santa Venera lit up at night and I could distinguish the places.

For some time now I have noticed that these have gone into pitch darkness. I have also noticed that there are frequent power cuts in different places.

Is this a way to make up for the cheaper bills? Who knows.

Last time i looked it was called Republic Day. But i guess the small Maltese mind has to politicize everything. The new Labour government ‘tal-liberali u l-progressivi’ has made it clear, so far, that it wants to keep the media busy and the public entertained with its attitude ‘u ija mhux xorta’.

If the Opposition locks hard enough on this attitude the Labour administration can be made to bring itself down. In this, perception counts indeed.
