The quotation on the wall behind them reads:

Here’s a limerick for you I remember from my schooldays and which springs to mind every now and then since last March:

There was a young lady from Niger,
Who smiled as she rode on a tiger;
They returned from the ride,
With the lady inside,
And a smile on the face of the tiger.
