It’s just as bad with Hollande.

The terrorist surveillance and intelligence failure occurred over the last three years.

Those are the years that Hollande has been in power.

He publicly befriended and supported Joseph Muscat, who knowingly has Libyan prison escapees in Malta – including still active contract killers.These are people enjoying freedom of movement in Malta and flying out to accomplish the objective of each contract: killing Libyan rebels for the counter rebels. Such a mess. These are the people for whom there are no pushbacks. The criminals.

Joseph Muscat’s pushbacks are for the black immigrants, but deals are made with (known) smugglers in Libya as to when another crossing would be most effective politically.

42000 Libyans in Malta is no joke. This is 10% of the local population not counting other foreigners present here. Joseph Muscat’s foreign policy goes as far as checking a bank account for breadth, not source of funds. FDI? What a joke.

If Hollande and any other leader were serious about the European values at stake this week, they would be able to set higher standards than bank accounts and working with criminals.

But they don’t.

The drama was dragged out a la Joseph this week, for an act that could have been prevented by thorough intelligence.

Claiming a first political victory for the Arc de Triomphe in its lifetime?

Just imagine it was more than three terrorists? If French resources were stretched for this week’s happenings, what would happen in a state of war?

Totally reflective of the French state of affairs that intelligence with the US and European counterparts was not synchronised.

Lax intelligence means that they only go after rich investors in France to extract the max in a web of organised fee intensive fiscal actions. There is an astounding laziness of the fonctionnaires, zealous only when an enviable lifestyle is in focus, and a high distrust of foreigners and anything “different” in France. Even recipes, if not traditional, fetch a raised eyebrow response, let alone people – their culture and habits. This is a country where people with a flashy car need to get a garage for it somewhere anonymous, so as not to be reported to the fiscal authorities by their neighbours.

The march would be a fantastic idea, but not when people like Hollande, Muscat, the Turkish PM and other such people are celebrated within it.

Triple layer hypocrisy.

PM should learn how to be an upholder of democracy, never mind the natioanlity, rather than the very person who did not invite The Malta Independent journalists to China and Net journalists to the press conference in relation to Mallia’s removal.

There are many ways to curtail free speech and violence does not only come with guns.

The GWU secretary/ex-Xarabank man, Jeremy (J) Camilleri was there pontificating, when he was the same person – late at night, practically on the eve of the last general election – to make what he thought were “jokes” about you, petrol and jerry-cans, directed at me, butting in on an online conversation between an ex-schoolmate of mine (who happens to be a friend of his) and myself.
