Just an update: my friend was waiting at the kiosk at 7.30am today but all the stock of Charlie Hebdo delivered were gone in max 5 to 10 minutes.

Delivery guaranteed for tomorrow.

I received several requests to obtain copies.

For while they understand the latter as sort of legitimate demographic self defense and they move along (as would be their reaction to a million Christians in Jeddah), they will surely consider the former and any Religious offences endorsement as much more of a ‘hate speech’.

This is the truth. And this is why many journals and newspapers even while in solidarity mode were reluctant to publish the cartoons of Hebdo, and published alternative ones instead.

People of every creed hold sacrosanct what is written in sacred text. If for muslims, depicting the prophet is a major offence amounting to blasphemy, putting it in their face amounts to ‘hating them’.

There is no escaping this fact. For offending and hating, in many cases, goes hand in hand, and the former is in most cases a natural reaction to the latter. As long as you are not insane, you will never offend anyone who you like.

You can still remain a friend with a Muslim even while telling him in face that you consider his individual and group presence as a threat. For sure you will not remain a friend if you offend or endorse offences to Islam.

The leftist liberal mindset of ‘I will fight anyone who want you out, but you have to allow me offend your creed’ will not work with Muslims, even if they pretend otherwise. So even if they do not know it or accept it, those who offend their creed or endorses it, are nonetheless guilty of hate speech as those who want them out. At least in Muslims’ eyes. Understand this fact, and you will be on.

So far it is difficult to order copies throughout France. There are waiting lists of over 85 people at small newspaper shops.

I have asked a friend to get me 3 copies the moment a kiosk opens at 8am in Paris (and am on other waiting lists) and he is not sure that supply will be sufficient even at that point.

However, what I did hear too, is that there are going to be further runs throughout the week to keep up with demand.
