Privitera’s concern is understandable.
He is a contemporary of the Bibliotheca from the De Rohan period, that is 1776.
He cannot help but feeling that he directly involved.

So it was definitely the PM’s personal fiasco, as he was involved both before the election and after.

The question is should he have been personally involved AND used taxpayers’ money?

Meeting those who were infringing the agreement, and finding a way to bail them out rather than be accountable, when he actually had the power to do so, should be a graver issue.

Let us at least hope that the property will now become the ground floor to our National Library with reading rooms etc fully and easily accessible to all. That way the public might at least gain something for the funds expended.
