Is he in agreement with allowing an oil rig or rigs to be parked on his hometown’s doorstep?

Are we being elected as representatives of people’s wants or needs in a locality, or is a vote still primarily granted as a gratitude to a party, to a shift in alliance by a particular group of people which incorporate gross incompetence in terms of political lobbying, strategy, philosophy and a particularly wrong measure of political success.

Is our system utterly useless now that we are EU members and permitting clans in terms of political loyalty in the 21st century?
