Malta’s PM: “No need to worry – no direct threats”.

Obviously Joey does not think Malta is part of (the threatened) Europe.

In order to tweet one’s own views one has to make a DECISION on what one thinks. When you have a non-decision person like Muscat nicking tweets is less anxiety inducing.

Joseph Muscat tries (or at least tries to give the impression) that he can only be a ‘positive’ person.

So any negative message has to come from others. It’s the way he tries to impose his image even in Maltese politics.

Have other party/government officials relay a negative message (e.g. deleting of the secrecy applicants list from the original draft of the IIP).

Then he sets up pompous press conferences for those messages he thinks are ‘positive’ no matter how small or ridiculous (e.g. a two cents decrease in price of petrol).

For Joseph Muscat, image is far better than substance.

In the case mentioned in this post, Joseph Muscat is quite happy saying that there is no threat to Malta, but it is someone else saying that the threat really exists.

Oh but it’s just the one he has crushes on – Renzi, Hollande/Valls, Schulz, sometimes Cameron – never Merkel. And it’s not just because she’s not a Socialist. Plenty of Socialist PMs among the Nordics and Central Europeans, but he never retweets them.
