Besides birds and the few remaining rabbits left in the wild in Malta are part of our ecosystem as they eat any unwanted insects parasites and weeds. If the people who are voting yes haven’t thought of this; bullets and bullet shells are left in grass and fields, the led will go into the soil and get absorbed by vegetables and fruit that we eat making the led go in our blood stream. PLEASE VOTE NO FOR THE SAKE OF FUTURE GENERATIONS.

I have repeatedly posted a comment under a Times letter to the editor which tries to equate all fishing to all hunting on emotional terms, and it repeatedly gets removed by the moderator.

Should a hunter try to suggest that eating fish is the equivalent of spring hunting, you can point out that spring hunting is not the equivalent of fishing, but of a series of illegal fishing practices, and should be illegal for the same reasons.

This letter is utterly irrelevant to the issue at hand. On the other hand if Mr. Vella wants to make a fishing anology, we should welcome it.

Hunting in spring is the hunting equivalent of catching young fish, using explosives or pariti, all of which are practices banned at law, as spring hunting should and hopefully will be soon.
