Of course Kessler had a reason not to show up and testify: He did not want to continue to incriminate himself as he did in the morning, by flagrantly lying, defamating and perjuring John Dalli, by inventing dates, meetings and manipulation of facts, leading Dalli to ask Malta Police to take action against Kessler …but of course no mention of all that here.

Well, there must be a better reason than the one the Commissioner gave, otherwise we’re just having a laugh.

In any case, I’ve outlined my thoughts about Kessler’s investigation in a comment which you either deleted, are sitting on, or have for some reason missed. It could also have been a glitch. So, there, all possibilities covered – certainly not Kessler’s way of thinking.

Kevin, common sense should tell you that there is no reason on earth why Giovanni Kessler, who spent rather a long time testifying and being cross examined in court today, would fight shy of doing the same before the House Privileges Committee. But then I have to bear in mind that you always prefer a conspiracy theory.
