Works in progress at the Marsa power station do not relate to the dismantling process but rock cutting. The works are visible from the hill leading to White Brothers warehouses.

Some pictures of what is going on at the Marsa power station, where the waste is being dumped at sea.

The barges belong to Polidano The work is being done by two Taghna Lkoll contractors, Tal-Maghtab Construction (they built the Labour Headquarters) and Carmel Vella Ltd.

All the waste material is being dumped at sea. The work started more than one month ago. and I am not sure if a tender was issued or given by direct order.

Some people are not eating fresh fish because according to them the sea has been polluted by drowned migrants. Will the rest of the population give up on fresh fish because of the new pollutants?
