‘Kordin Correctional Facility’. Why does everyone insist on calling it that? It’s a prison – the only one in Malta, so there is no room for confusion.

I can’t understand why everyone is so mealy-mouthed about calling the prison a prison when there appears to be no similar difficulty with saying that somebody has been sentenced to imprisonment.

I just had the misfortune of allowing a blue VW Passat through on the roundabout, and got a good look at the passenger (ghax kellu chauffeur), perched on his flank looking straight out of the passenger window, eye-balling everyone else in the passing cars adjacent to his.

And guess who it was – none other than His Royal Highness of Hal Ghaxaq, Franco Debono.

I actually got the impression he was trying to see whether people recognized him. Once a twat, always a twat.
