The referendum is the initiative of civil society, not the government. It was brought by petition under the law. The government has nothing to do with it, and is, in fact, rooting for the No vote – led by the prime minister.

The extent to which members of the electorate, such as yourself, are catastrophically ill-informed will never cease to amaze me.
