The UK's obsession with privatisation (partial or complete) has led to mediocrity in everything from trains (amongst the worst in Europe), health, postal services, education (companies has invented testing, exams which pupils can't fail...) and so forth. It's a type of perverse socialism where corporations thrive thanks to handouts from the tax-payer.

Dalli was Muscat's health tsar. We were never told what his conclusions were.

Everthing went quiet and now there's a flurry of announcements about big projects in the health care sector.

What's Dalli getting out of those? I don't imagine for a moment that he wrote a report, handed it over to
government and then let the business deals roll in without him.

Muscat should make clear that Dalli has no part in any of the deals and is not making any money out of them directly or indirectly.
