Exactly. So apart from the Labour leader’s declaration, there is obvious support in material.

My point was, that neither the Labour Party and surely nor the government should be supporting the Yes campaign.

In reply to Fred the Red. There is also evidence of the Labour Party/government (no distinction here) helping the Yes vote. The resources available to the Yes campaign, be it posters, leaflets and especially TV adverts have some quality that the FKNK cannot obtain on its own. They far outweigh what the No side has.

Even the way the referendum question is couched is meant to help the hunting lobby: if you want to remove spring hunting you have to vote No.

Muscat must have been advised that campaigning for a Yes vote is easier and looks more “positive” than a No.

Daphne, do you know if there is a vacancy for the post of Parliamentary Secretary for the Protection of Animals or whatever it is called? The incumbent seems to have gone AWOL, nowhere to be seen in this bird protection referendum campaign. What was his name?

Premier Muscat has so far made three attempts to assist the Yes campaign.
1. Doing his level best to torpedo local council elections, which would have guaranteed the lowest possible turnout for the referendum.
2. Denying 16-years olds the right to vote in the referendum.
3. Politicising the referendum last Sunday in a bid to parcel the vote along party lines.

One wonders what further machinations Premier Muscat has up his filthy sleeve.
