Who will be shouldering political and administrative responsibility for this bungle and false step?

I hope this issue is raised in Parliament by the Opposition in its next sitting.

As regards her appointment, when you have a Prime Minister who is not fit for the role, all his appointments are de facto unfit.

Poor Malta

I am not trying to minimise her work. I didn’t mean it that way and I want to praise her for it again.
She did a very good job, and I’m glad it’s published.

Don’t try to minimise Caroline Muscat’s work here. It is actually extremely difficult to encapsulate the essential nature of an interview, and how an interviewee comes across, in this manner. In my experience in Malta there are only very few journalists who can do this, and it is no coincidence that they are women. Male journalists will go to an interview and listen only to the words then write about them. Kristina Chetcuti is very good at this kind of thing, too, but unfortunately she is out of the game because her relationship with the Opposition leader would mean she is perceived as having a bias, conflict of interest or ulterior motive, even if untrue.
