2. The French government has the data because Herve Falciani, the HSBC contractor who took it from HSBC, gave it to the French government. The French government, like all other EU governments, shares information with EU governments as and when necessary under the law. The ICIJ obtained the data from Le Monde, the French national newspaper.

3. The Malta Independent has access to the full data, yes. It is not a management matter, but a news matter.

2. If not, how come the French government has the list? But more than that, who gave the right to the French government to pass on copies to other governments if those rights (and duties attached to those rights of knowledge) are held by the media members of the ICIJ?

3. Is the The Malta Independent management in possession and in full knowledge of the names of the Maltese holders or ex-holders of secret bank accounts held in HSBC Geneva?
