Yes, many Maltese cannot distinguish between arrogance and strength of argument. There is no cure for that except education and it is exactly why education for Labour is a dirty word.

It also explains why some transfers in the public service, at even the lower levels are occurring.

The Times is itself Labour leaning and the two “independent opinionists” are no friends of the Nationalist party either. So it was basically Simon Busuttil vs The Prime Minister and four puppets who seek favour with him. Simon was not particularly impressive either. That calm demeanor is too easy to shrug off by someone like Joseph Muscat.
