When I look at the top picture of Manuel Mallia I think of this scene from Spaceballs.

I’m afraid it’s true, and it’s not at all funny. I knew about it even before this woman wrote to me from Romania.

Manuel Mallia’s skivvies were seen regularly at the fountains in the Mainguard (not the floor fountains, but the ones with basins, in the wall) filling jerry cans. They loaded the jerry cans onto the twins’ double pushchair (the twins were not in it) to ferry them between the house overlooking Hastings garden and the Mainguard.

I couldn’t stop laughing and need someone to substantiate this story so I can finally stop smiling.

It’s not an unflattering photo. That is exactly what he looks like in real life. Unflattering photos are when people who ordinarily look quite good are presented as looking otherwise.
