All I can say is that Labour’s incompetence and corruption over the past two years pales into insignificance with the PN’s last five years in power. Let us not forget that the people whose actions we now despise – JPO, Dalli, Tancred Tabone, Franco Debono, Musumeci, Michael Falzon, Bondi, Engerer, Ninu Zammit, Austin Gatt, Giovanna Debono et all have all one thing in common – PN bigwigs. Daphne perhaps you should investigate how the first wardens’ tenders were awarded. How an individual already had ALL the equipment in place ready to go before the tender was even issued. Or how Wateserv had 299 employees out of 306 subcontracted from a PN crony. These are ongoing abuses that have left an elite few raking in millions of taxpayers’ money. Or perhaps you should find out the connections between the Gozo quarry that supplied the marble for the Parliament building and a Gozitan Nationalist spouse recently in the news. How come no one has asked the question as to why the stone is shipped all the way to Italy and back to be cut when there are Maltese companies more than capable of doing it? I am disgusted by the Premier Café issue, Si Mizzi’s pretend job, the Mallia affair and the typical Labour favours dished out but even more disgusted by the goings on of the last PN government. My personal problem is that from Labour I never expected better, from the PN yes.

A few months before Cyrus Engerer crossed over to Labour he kept telling all those that would care to listen how he felt Chris Said should be leader and not Gonzi.

Daphne, the problem is that people I know who decided to vote Labour in 2013 are of the attitude now: ” U ijja it’s what all politicians do, but at least the economy is booming”.

What can you do except shake your head in despair and move on. You can’t reason with this mindset.
