I will assume your allegation is true for for the sake of an argument to follow a line of assertion, but that does not mean stopping education.

Given enough time results will be achieved but it’s important to start them at a young age as some adults still have baby brains derelict of maturity and common good.

It would have been interesting to know what the schools made of the referendum seeing that it was not politically polarised.

Hopefully they would have taught their students the value of life and conservation.

I’m old enough to remember the very first environment “education” campaign, back in the late 80s/early 90s, with Xummiemu and his message against littering. It was meant to educate people on that most basic of things, about which there really is no debate.

Did it work? Did it fcvk. Just walk from Floriana to City Gate and down Republic Street.

I also remember another campaign (yes, dear readers, I’m ancient), by the Malta Ecological Society. Early 90s. “Use solar energy”, it said.

Did it work? Some people installed solar panels and solar water heaters, but only because it saved them money.

There’s your education.
