The government and the political party which forms it are completely separate and distinct.

The government is the government and is formed under the Constitution.

Political parties cannot be made to pay fines incurred by the government.

Political parties should be made to pay fines incurred in situations like this.

Also where is the much vaunted transparency cry before the last general elections – the Maltese electorate has been well and truly had by the Labour Party.
