I cannot understand how the PN and journalists have let Muscat’s 3.8% tax on mobile telephony introduced this April go through without any mention at all. This tax practically raises the VAT on mobile telephony from 18% to 22% since the 3.8% is on the VAT element too, hence the total tax on mobile telephony comes to 22%. It’s the new VAT at 22%. Then there are the myriad of other taxes
