I believe that this is the beginning of the end for Labour.

The Labour Party always fed off the selfish and egotistical mob that saw politics as its way of getting what it wanted regardless of the cost to the country.

They always went against sensible policy because the mob would shout like babies and they thought they could do with the votes.

Their way of thinking is rather twisted. They believe that in a democracy a politician should represent the interests of the people. So far so good.

However, the people are not supposed to be the minds of the politicians.

We elect politicians who are supposed to have proper qualifications and can reason clearer and more sensibly than the man in the street.

If what the man in the street said was reliable we would not need universities or qualifications. We would just vote for any Tom Dick and Harry regardless of how they think or what they know.

But no, Labour just turn to the mob and make what the mob says their ideas. They don't seem to actually care whether or not what that mob says is actually doable, fair and sustainable.

For them, when you start thinking in those academic terms, they think you are being arrogant, oppressive and unjust.

That is why they hate the PN, because the PN try to implement ideas that are scientific and sensible, things Labour view as 'pepe' and therefore not for them.

There is a reason why so many Maltese people still don't encourage their children to take school seriously.

What? And have their chid grow up to be like those who live in Sliema?

But now we see something new. Muscat painted himself into a rather difficult corner, and I believe he is about to be surprised at how difficult it is going to be to get out of it.

He had no choice but to go against the mob. Now the mob is going to wield its nasty power, just like it did in the past.
