Muscat stands to lose more votes than he gained by helping the yes campaign.

One false step by the hunters and Muscat will close the hunting season immediately.

Muscat will definitely try to appease the thousands who voted against spring hunting.

In my opinion these people do not care if birds are killed or not and therefore should be added to the No camp.

I make this statement because the SHout campaign turned this referendum into a campaign about bird killing therefore distorted the real meaning of the referendum.

If they had concentrated on the real issue of the referendum, the interpretation would have been different.

This wasn’t like the divorce referendum where those who did not vote simply didn’t care about the issue. If you didn’t show up to vote, you don’t care if birds lived or died.

This would translate that approx. 62% of the Maltese population don’t care about birds. Muscat’s hunch to side with the probable victors was right.
