Whilst the vote difference in the general election was 36K, the truth is that the P.N. ‘only’ needs to obtain just above 18,000 votes more than the P.L. to oust Premier Joe in the next general election. – provided of course that the total number of votes would be similar to those of 2013.

Exactly what I thought: misuse of the word.

If somebody is ‘no longer invincible’ then he was never invincible to begin with.

A person cannot be ‘no longer invincible’. Invincibility is exactly that.

In Times of Malta’s editorial of 19th April (Ray of hope for PN) Muscat was mentioned in this context (invincible).

Ranier Fsadni mentioned Muscat as the ‘untouchable’ on the same subject.

I haven’t read any such article. How can an elected politician be invincible?

If you saw an article that used that particular description, the person who wrote it must be unfamiliar with the meaning of the word.

I don’t see any reports saying that Muscat is becoming invincible or that he is invincible.

Those would be very strange reports indeed, because no elected politician in a free democracy is invincible by definition.
