The counter-measure is to say it as it is. No carefully padded discourse. No protection of individuals. No playing his game. Call his bluff. Create that trace. Widen communication from the base of that visible trace.

The secretive aspect keeping “power nodes” loyal and strong is because each isolated group is made to think that the other is happy and doing well. In fact, the typical scammer can’t afford to have people talking openly to each other, discovering the weaknesses in the breaches, discussing them.

What the scammer hates is legal action taken against him, exposing him. But it would appear that lawyers are loathe to take this step.
