Given that the Minister for (in)Justice has said that the ex-commissioner can retain his current post on the CHOGM Organisation Committee, someone should ask the heads of Commonwealth governments whether they feel safe having him as head of security for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.

This corruption and serious, and it is significant that the publication of the inquiry report has been left pending for so long.

I don’t think it is a coincidence that it was published after the local council elections.

Muscat is obsessed with self aggrandizement, a result of his narcissistic character and the fear of being a one-term prime minister like his ex boss, who didn’t even last the term.

All this dirt is being registered in people’s minds. I know of many who are sorely disappointed by Muscat’s way of doing politics.

They naively thought (I am being kind and not saying stupidly) that he was into a new way of doing clean politics as he so vehemently preached.

If the PN wants any slim chance of being re-elected, let them clean up their act, drop the frills and nice words and say it like it is. Let them put emphasis, never enough, on the strict upholding of the law in this corrupt and shameful country that we are living in. Law-abiding citizens are fed up of this political scenario.

If a Police Commissioner instructs officers not to issue charges against his former client wouldn’t it be rational to assume that he wouldn’t issue charges against anyone who he feels is protected by those who gave him his job in the first place?
