I would be the last to do Mr. Zammit’s bidding, but this goes beyond sickening bi-party antics.

Mr. Zammit’s statement and actions expose a very serious cancerous abuse within the police force.

It is not that the (ex) Police Commissioner decided not to prosecute his (ex) client – but the fact that the police throw the book at those they conspire against and even try to frame them.

I experienced this myself.

It would have been more appropriate if Mr. Zammit did not take the decision himself, unilaterally, but involved his Assistant Commissioners as well.

I would say he failed in not taking disciplinary action against the officers who filed the unfounded accusations.
