I’m not sure I quite understand all this talk of “alternative sites” for the (non)University.

Maybe I don’t quite understand how contracts between Prime Ministers of Malta governments, version 2015, and Jordanian land developers work, but surely the contract that was signed included the actual bit of land that the Jordanians are to be given for development.

I doubt it said we will give you land, we don’t know where, but you will get somewhere to build your American University Hotel.

So all this talk of Muscat listening to proposals from NGO’s is all BS.

In the end he’s going to say “We listened (because we are a listening government) but after considering all the proposals we decided that Zonqor Point was the best option for all involved (and because that’s what it says in the contract).”

Also, what’s with Simon Busutill saying they are not opposed to a new university, but to the location.

Shouldn’t he make it clear that the Opposition is opposed to this (non) university anywhere in Malta?

Oppose the University and the land becomes a non-issue.

Did they mention any fees? Or could it be that they think this Jordanian entrepreneur is going to offer a university, Jordanian, Egyptian or whatever, for free?
