Tied up with none less than the now Deputy Governor of the Central Bank, whose family is involved in maintaining the background constructs of deceit and suppression.

And the triangle complete with Joseph Muscat’s own ties with that same person’s company.

(No one has mentioned the conflict of interest in place where a person with an investment/ finance company is also Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Malta).

A triangle that merits more direct attention.

In cases of theft or fraud, any forgiveness becomes effective only AFTER one has made repatriation of what was stolen or obtained by fraud.

So neither his brother nor the bishop nor the pope can actually forgive but only advise the offender.

A large majority of grassroots Nationalist Party supporters, the ones who vote in the party’s leadership elections, knew that something like this (or something worse) might happen.

They never said so out loud so John Dalli actually believed he would win the 2004 leadership contest.

When he failed dismally, he could not bring himself to face the truth. He blamed everyone but himself.
