That’s all right. I didn’t say it for your benefit as you are a doctor and well aware of the risks.

I am just tired of the way people accuse older mothers of irresponsibility and say nothing about older fathers, perhaps because they do not know that the risks are far worse.

I point this out only because people focus on elderly mothers as though they are somehow irresponsible when the real and growing problems lie with elderly fathers on their ‘second wind’ after divorce.

Fathers on their second wind are one of the main reasons why there has been an ‘explosion’ in autism over the last generation.
