Yes, I have been there.

Bormla is known as the arm-pit of Malta or a more ruder part of the human body to be more accurate.

One of my great-grandmothers hailed from Cospicua. She came from a well-to-do ship chandling family that started in business before the British came to Malta and became very prosperous by the mid-19th century.

The Three Cities area of Malta is a far cry today from what it was 150 years ago, even up to before the Second World War.

But thanks to Dom Mintoff, the old-time quality people and long-standing respectable families were driven off and replaced with his kind of jackass rabble that we know so well today and for the wrong reasons.
