To my knowledge the Labour Party felt that Prime Minister Gonzi should have listened to him and never asked him to resign.

Having said that, I too think that if Marlene Farrugia feels so strongly about this, then she needs to take it up with her leader and parliamentary group and if they do not take heed then she should resign.

A case in point is the choice of the party secretary-general. People who support Labour would write that Simon Busuttil kicked out Chris Said and is going to choose Rosette Thake as HIS secretary-general.

They say such things because subconsciously they measure the PN by PL standards, where in the latter, the general conference elected a secretary-general and Joseph Muscat did away with the post and placed his favourite person as part executive secretary.

Quite right. A member of parliament represents all citizens residing in his/her constituency, immaterial of who they voted for, indeed, immaterial of whether or not they voted at all.
