Lorry Sant did all his damage when he was minister in the 1970s and 1980s (including an accountant found hacked to bits in a well and one of his colleagues murdered in his hospital bed, and those murders are just the by-products of the wholesale landgrab).

But when did they turn against him? In 1992, when he had been in Opposition for five years.

Toni Abela and Wenzu Mintoff are dreadful. That’s why one conspired to conceal a cocaine deal at a Labour Club and the other, who spent years harping on about corruption and cronyism in the Labour press he went on to edit, grabbed himself a plum position as a judge, for which he is wholly unfit for purpose, as soon as his political colleagues were in a position to give it to him.

Open your eyes now. Don’t bother waiting until you’re as ancient as I am.

I want the PN to govern with AD. I want the PN to take the best of AD and make it its own.

Mr Ideals edited the Labour Party newspaper while working full-time in a senior position at Malta Enterprise under the Nationalist government, with everyone too scared to remind him that he was paid to work for Malta Enterprise and not KullHadd, in case they were accused of ‘discriminating against him’ (because everybody else was editing a newspaper while at Malta Enterprise..).

And then as soon as the Labour Party is elected to government, Mr Ideals demands to be made a judge when he has never so much as argued a case in court.

As for Toni Abela, don’t get me started. The man is the pits. The pits. That cocaine business and so much more – no decent person has any business being associated with that sort.

Arnold Cassola belongs in the PN. He’s great on television and a straightforward talker, and if he had to shrug off his chips, he would understand that he has more in common with that party than he does with the likes of Michael Briguglio.

He’s the only AD official I’ve ever known to have a sense of humour and some form of wit.

I simply defended the truth.

Don’t feel you need to defend him.

You are more bothered than he is.
